Uni students taken in for questioning

A group of Rajarata University students who went to Jaffna to participate in a signature collection campaign has been taken in for questioning by the police today, the JVP said.

JVP MP Vijitha Herath told Daily Mirror that these students were expected to participate in this campaign organized by the ‘We are Sri Lankans’ movement, urging the government to ensure the safety of Tamil detainees. The event was scheduled for 1.00 pm today opposite the Jaffna Bus Stand. (KB)
